Executive Vice Chair of University Council
Prof. Cai Li, Ph.D., full professor, doctoral supervisor is Executive Vice Chair of Jilin University Council.
Prof. Cai received her Bachelor degree of Management Engineering from the former Jilin Institute of Technology (Currently Changchun University of Technology) in 1983, and her Master and Ph.D. degree of Technological Economics from the former Jilin University of Technology (currently Jilin University) in 1986 and 1990.
From 1986 through 2000, Ms. Cai Li served at the Department of Technological Economics of the former Jilin University of Technology as an assistant, lecturer, associate professor and full professor. In 1996, she became a doctoral supervisor.
Prof. Cai was elected vice dean of the College of Management of the former Jilin University of Technology and served from 1999 until 2000 when the university merged with Jilin University, she continued serving for another two years before becoming the Dean of the College of Management of Jilin University until 2005. Since 2005, Prof. Cai has served as vice chair of Jilin University Council until September of 2015 when she was elected Executive Vice Chair of Jilin University Council.
Prof. Cai did her research at Carnegies Mellon University and Babson College of U.S. as a senior visiting scholar from 1995-1996 and from 2001-2002.
Prof. Cai has directed 7 projects of National Natural Science Foundation and National Social Science Foundation, over 10 projects at ministerial and provincial level. She is the author of 6 monographs and nearly 100 theses, and translated 1 monograph.
While working at Jilin University, Prof. Cai is also serving as vice president of China Technological Economics Association, member of the expert panel of Department of Management Science of National Natural Science Foundation, member of the Fourth Legislative Decision-making Advisory Committee, Jilin Provincial Government, and in many other academic and social organizations.
