Jilin University held an online meeting with Macquarie University in Australia to discuss the implementation of their annual cooperation plan in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Zhang Guangcui, Director of JLU Office of Global Engagement, Dr. Zhu Dongdong, Vice Dean of JLU’s China-Japan Union Hospital, and Dr. Li Lin, Vice Director of the hospital’s Otolaryngology and Head Surgery Department attended the meeting. During the online meeting, the two parties discussed in depth their annual cooperation plan in the field of audiology. Due to travel restrictions put in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the two parties agreed to make full use of online platforms to organize seminars and workshops in order to implement practical cooperation and to minimize the negative impact of the pandemic.
The two parties also held an open discussion on interdisciplinary research cooperation in a broader sense of audiology, and agreed to promote scholar exchanges in relevant fields so as to boost research cooperation.
In addition, the two parties also discussed cooperation on cotutelle programs and JLU Administrators Workshop on Global Competence.
