Assistant Provost of Kansas State University of U.S.A. Visits JLU

From Oct 17th to 18th, 2016, Dr. Marcellus M. Caldas, Assistant Provost of International Faculty Collaboration & Educational Programs, Office of International Programs, Kansas State University and Dr Martha Smith-Caldas, Teaching Associate Professor of Division of BiologyKansas State University visited JLU, and had meetings with officers from Office of Global Engagement and leaders from College of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, College of Veterinary Medicine and College of Plant Sciences.

Both parts had in-depth discussions and reached consensus on partnership on short and long-term student exchanges, dual-degree programs, short-term young faculty exchanges, cooperative scientific research, and organizing academic exchange week in the fields of veterinary medicine, agricultural economy, public diplomacy, public administration and media, etc.  

According to Dr. Marcellus M. Caldas, both universities have evident competitive advantages in the disciplines covered by the meetings during the visit, and are highly complementary to each other, with a broad prospect for cooperation. The two universities are expected to cooperate in multiple disciplinary areas to promote common development.
