On January 25th, Jeremy Bradshaw, Assistant Principal of the University of Edinburgh, and another two people, visited Jilin University. This is the second time Jeremy Bradshaw visited Jilin University.
The delegation had a work meeting with personnel in charge from the College of Veterinary Medicine, the International Office, and Key Laboratory of Zoonosis Research. The two sides fully exchanged their views on cooperation projects that both sides were interested in, and confirmed cooperation plans on student exchanges, joint cultivation, scientific research, faculty exchange and training and so on. After the meeting, Bradshaw and his delegation also visited the teaching and scientific research lab of the College of Veterinary Medicine and had exchanges and interactions with some faculties and students.
Professor Natalie Waran, the Vice Dean of International Relations under Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, and Dr. Yang Lixin, the head of the Chinese Office of the University of Edinburgh, joined the visit.
The University of Edinburgh was founded in 1583 and located at the center of the city of Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland. It is one of the oldest multi-disciplinary and research-oriented universities in the English-speaking world. In 2015 and 2016, the University of Edinburgh was ranked 17th in the QS World University Ranking.
