From October 28th to November 25th, the Second “JLU Faculty Workshop on Global Competence” was successfully held. A total of 33 JLU faculty members participated in this workshop.
Fully utilizing online communication platforms, distinguished professors from the University of Cambridge were invited to conduct online teaching and discussion on international research cooperation. By attending a series of lectures, namely“Effective Multidisciplinary Collaboration” “International Academic Research within a Research Center Framework” “How to Run a Successful Research Centre” “Research Cooperation” and “Academic Writing and Publication”, JLU faculty members gained a deeper understanding on the international research cooperation practices of the University of Cambridge and fully discussed their ideas on research with professors from Cambridge. They successfully completed all tasks and group presentations with the guidance of the Cambridge professors.
The workshop aimed at the targeted development of high-level international research cooperation, the increase of JLU’s international competitiveness in scientific research, and the promotion of JLU faculty members’ ability in international communication and global competence.
