From March 1st to 7th, 2021, the fourth “JLU Faculty Workshop on Global Competence” was successfully held. A total of 32 JLU faculty members participated in the workshop.
Faculty members from the University of Cambridge and the participants of JLU discussed on the topics like teaching and learning management, interdisciplinary cooperation, and research paper writing through an online platform. Under the guidance of the faculty members from Cambridge, JLU participants were divided into groups to brainstorm and to learn from each other, which brought benefits to faculty members both from Cambridge and JLU. With close and efficient cooperation, the participants completed the group presentations excellently, which was highly praised by the faculty members of Cambridge.
With the purpose of improving JLU faculty members’ ability in international communication and global competence, this workshop aims to provide a platform for JLU faculty members to communicate and to interact with scholars from world-famous universities. The faculty members participating in the workshop have expanded their international vision, enriched their teaching experience, improved their international communication capability, and enhanced their teamwork ability in an English-speaking environment.
